DESCRIPTION

Arthur Miller’s Pulitzer Prize-winning play “Death of a Salesman”, directed by Giorgos Nanouris and starring Vladimiros Kyriakidis in the lead role, will be presented on Wednesday 6 August at the Ancient Theatre of Philippi, as part of the 68th Philippi Festival.

Alongside Vladimiros Kyriakidis, a remarkable cast takes to the stage, featuring Efi Mouriki, Renos Rotas, Dimitris Gerodimos, Katerina Mantziou, Giorgos Koskorellos, Panagiotis Papadoulis, and Sokratis Aggelis.

Written in 1949, “Death of a Salesman” is widely considered the American playwright’s greatest work. It follows the life of Willy Loman, a travelling salesman caught between past and present, trapped by the illusion of the American Dream. The crushing pursuit of survival, dictated by the expectations of an intensely capitalist society, drives him into a spiral of delusion, leading to the unraveling of his entire life.
